Octopus Network is participating in several international project consortiums.
NetLab
NetLab will sustain research and experimentations that will ascertain the convergence and interoperability of different test beds, protocol variants and services based on IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS). The choice of IMS is considered a key factor by the project for obtaining a sustainable and future generic interconnection proof testbed where the user can discover and select the network and services used to perform his tests. Particular emphasis will be placed on interoperability of the IMS cores, the interconnection and sharing of software tools, the experimentation and validation of protocols and services, and in providing trusted access to services.

PanLab
PII addresses the need for large-scale testing facilities in the communications area by implementing an infrastructure for federating testbeds. The PII project uses the concept of European innovation clusters and builds on the existing testbeds that are supporting scientific and technological endeavour within these clusters. The central objective of PII is to create a testbed federation among these regional innovation clusters in Europe. This will enable companies participating in these clusters to test new communication services and applications across Europe. The testbed federation includes four core innovation clusters and three satellite clusters.

Finlab
The mission of the FinLab project is to: create an active collaboration network between companies and research organizations; collaboratively make Finnish companies and research globally recognized and competitive; and make Finland well-known and recognized testing and validation site world-wide. One of the aims of this project is to describe and define the Finlab Living Lab business and service concept and develop a nationwide network of Living Lab developers, which produces innovation development services for a network of clients, and to define a common Living Lab project/process model.
